No! This game is based on a round from the amazing BBC gameshow, Only Connect. You can play it online with the BBC but this site also allows people to submit their own grids and features rules slightly closer to the real show.

Apologies, all the grids are submitted by users. The submitters type a list of words to accept. Anticipating all the things someone could type is quite a skill and submitters are not always able to. But give yourself a pat on the back anyway!

Does the comments section have rules?

I'm so glad you asked! This is a site of diverting puzzles, at worst they can waste three minutes of your time. So there should be no need for offensive language in the comments section. Please express yourself politely, especially to other contributors, or expect to incur censorship. (For rough guidelines see the BBC message board house rules)
